Obituary of Josephine Mary Piantidosi

Josephine Mary Piantidosi, a resident of the Darien/New Canaan area since 1991, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Stamford Hospital. Born in 1915 in Newton, MA and grew up in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (Barbato) Mucci. She was 92. Josephine and her late husband did volunteer work for various organizations in the Darien and New Canaan area. She was formerly active with the Darien Senior Center. She is survived by her two sons, Robert J. Piantidosi of Las Vegas, NV and Frank A. Piantidosi of New Canaan; and eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis A. Piantidosi, Sr. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, Darien on Tuesday, March 4, 2008.
