Obituary of Elisabeth Gray Fowler

Elisabeth Gray Fowler of New Canaan, CT, died October 5, 2010 in Norwalk, CT. She was born in 1911 in Washington, D.C. to Dr. and Mrs. Joseph M. M. Gray. She graduated from Wellesley College. After raising two children in Pelham, NY, she taught in the New York City Public School System retiring in 1980. She was very active in the Manor Club and Hugeneot Memorial Church. Her husband, Ralph S. Fowler predeceased her in 1972. She is survived by her daughter, Abigail Hawkins of Island Park, NY; a son, Frank B. Fowler and daughter-in-law, Susan, of Vero Beach, FL; a grand-daughter, Dr. Vanessa Hawkins of Clatskanie, OR and a nephew, Gardner Gray of Pringle, SD. A private service will be held November 6, 2010 in Pelham, NY. www.lawrencefuneralhome.com
