Obituary of Henriette Hoffmann

Henriette Hoffmann, a resident of Darien, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Rosenthal Hospice in Stamford. Born in 1934 in Pirmasens, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Heinrich and Selma Heil Hoffmann. She was 76. Henriette was devoted to her family. She was a creative talent who worked in interior design, as a dressmaker, and in designing packaging for candy for Saks Fifth Avenue. She was a 50 year member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and was an active member of their Ladies' Aide. She is survived by her children, Eileen Manhart of Darien and Wayne Hoffmann of Monroe, CT; and four grandchildren, Laura Manhart, Kelly Manhart, Jessica Hoffmann and Tyler Hoffmann. She is also survived by two sisters Mariluise Scheef and Ursula Farfaglia both of Pirmasens, Germany. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Leo Hoffmann. A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 265 Seaside Avenue, Stamford on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
