Obituary of Elissa DeLucia Anselmo

Elissa DeLucia Anselmo passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010 in Stamford. Elissa was born in Royo Del Sangro, Italy on January 22, 1923. She was the daughter of Antonio and Adeline DeLucia. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years Nicholas in 1983. Survivors include daughters Catherine Cipriano and her husband, Greg, of Verona, NJ; Elissa Hochberg and her husband, Charles, of Ridgefield, CT; and son Frank Anselmo and his wife, Christine, of New Canaan, CT; sisters Inez Migliore of Salem, NY; Annette Lieblein of Larchmont, NY; grandchildren Nicholas Anselmo, Christopher Anselmo, Francesca Anselmo, Joelle Anselmo, Ariane Duarte, Elissa Rickmers, Rory Donadio, Aaron Hochberg, Allison Scorca and Alyssa Hochberg; and great-grandchildren, Rory Duarte and Jolie Duarte. She was predeceased by her sister Velia Warrington of Mamaroneck, NY. An avid chef, Elissa passed her talents on to her children and grandchildren. A wonderful mother, grandma and sibling she will be missed but remembered fondly by all who knew her. There will be no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at St. Leo Roman Catholic Church on 24 Roxbury Road in Stamford, CT at 11 AM. Immediately following interment will be at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Leo RC Church.
