Obituary of Charles Ernest Adams

Charles Ernest Adams, a former long-time resident of the Noroton Heights section of Darien and a former 10 years resident of Jefferson, NY before moving to New Milford, CT, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Candlewood Valley Health Care Center in New Milford. Born on August 10, 1932 in Norwalk, he was the son of Dorothea Layne Adams of Stamford and the late Ernest Adams, Sr. He was 78. Charles worked as a contractor for Home Oil Co. for 25 years. He then worked for several years for the Department of Transportation. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. Beside his mother, he is survived by three daughters, Lorrie Adams Seely of New Milford, CT; Patricia Adams of New Fairfield, CT; Aubrey Adams of Syracuse, NY and four grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife, Janet Adams; one son, Richard E. Adams and one brother, Ernest Adams. There will be a private family interment at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien. The Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien is handling the arrangements.
