Obituary of Bruce K. Koch

Bruce K. Koch, a 29 year resident of Stamford and a former resident of Massachusetts, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Born on April 3, 1947 in Melrose, MA, he was the son of the late Marilyn Campbell and James Koch. He was 63.
Bruce graduated from Bentley College with a degree in accounting. He worked from 1978 to 1998 for Devon Group Inc. as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Operations. Prior to working for Devon Group Inc., he worked from 1969 to 1978 for Peat, Marwick & Mitchell. He then worked for several years as a financial consultant.
Bruce was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where his love and dedication led him to serve as former president of the Church Council and a member of several other committees. For 15 years, he served on the Executive Board of Laurel House including a term as President. He served on the board of Family and Children Services and was a member of FEI. Bruce also served on the boards of several other community and business organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila A. Koch of Stamford; one son, Christopher J. Koch and his wife, Heather, of Fairfield; one daughter, Jennifer L. Greco and her husband, Robert, of Stamford and four grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Cailey and Savannah. He is also survived by one sister, Nancy Stuart, Reading, MA.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 884 Newfield Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
