Obituary of Jane H. Iffland

Jane H. Iffland, a Norwalk, CT resident for over 50 years, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2010 in Norwalk. She was the loving wife of the late Charles J. Iffland for 58 years. Born in 1922 in Montague, MA and raised in Greenfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred Hayner Hanrahan. She was 87 years of age. Jane was a member of the first graduating class of Holy Trinity School in Greenfield, MA. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Norwalk and a member of Shorehaven Country Club. She is survived by two cousins, Rev. Robert W. Thrasher of Springfield, MA and Paul Bittner, his wife Marsha and family of Greenfield, MA. She was predeceased by her husband Charlie on April 3, 2008, and her sister-in-law, Kathleen Iffland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 207 East Avenue, Norwalk, on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Burial will at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.
