Pearl Constance Trolle, a resident of Stamford, CT for many years, passed away on September 30 with her children by her side. She was born in New York City on October 10, 1917, the daughter of Charles and Helga (Fridolf) Westerberg. She graduated from Julia Richman High School, the Ann Reno Institute (a part of the Columbia University Teachers College, specializing in Montessori methodology). She earned her BA degree in education from Danbury State Teachers College. She taught at various local nursery schools before becoming a kindergarten teacher at Rogers Elementary School in Stamford.
She retired shortly after losing her husband in 1975. She took up a second career and opened up two antique shops. She was an active member of the Stamford Historical Society and other organizations, such as Wallace Nutting Collectors Club, AARP, and Springdale Methodist Church groups. She loved reading and learning and when she lost her sight, she was a avid listener to books on tape. She enjoyed her summer home on Bantam Lake and the wonderful memories of family times together.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert R. Trolle and her older sister, Alice Westerberg.
She is survived by her three children, Constance L. Trolle of Morris, CT; John C. Trolle of Santa Clara, CA and Stamford, CT; and Lance E. Trolle of Foxboro, MA.
