Mary A. Andreoli, a lifelong resident of Darien, CT, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Stamford Hospital. Born in Darien in 1920, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Bruno and Vincenzo Giuranna. She was 88. Mary graduated from Darien High School and Shorts Secretarial School. She worked for many years as a Secretary for Grade Teacher Publishing and later also worked for Edwards & Co. in Norwalk. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alfred J. Andreoli of Darien; daughter, Patricia Fern and her husband, James, of Darien; son, Jim Andreoli and his wife, Regina of Trumbull, CT; daughter Doreen Baker and her husband, David, of Fairfield, CT; nine grandchildren, Justin, Bryan and Lori Fern; James (L.J.) and Julia Andreoli and Meredith, Alison, Jeffrey and Chloe Baker; and two great grandchildren, Molly and Peter Fern. She is also survived by a sister, Lucy "Ernie" Thorne of Brookfield, CT. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Friday, September 11, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Prayer Service will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien.
