Dear Aunt Ann, Barb, Doug, and Betsy, I was deeply saddened by the news of Uncle Bob's passing. I have such fond memories of the times we spent together, even though distance made those visits infrequent. A stand-out memory that makes me smile goes back to when you (Aunt Ann and Uncle Bob) visited Corvin and me in England while Corvin was in the USAF. Uncle Bob was the consummate organizer, something Mom always admired and had told me about. So when Uncle Bob brought his briefcase to England and took it on tour with us, I was impressed but also amused. Somewhere in a photo album I have a picture of Uncle Bob standng in front of Warwick Castle holding his briefcase! It was such an amusing contrast between ancient history and modern man. I also remember Uncle Bob's wonderful dry wit, but how he could be caring and compassionate as well. I especially treasure those days we spent together in Appleton two years ago just after Mom died. We needed both his sense of humor and his compassion to help us through. Having our 'East coast family' with us at that time was so meaningful. I wish I could be there for you to lend support at this time, but you'll have to accept my presence in thought and prayer. Please know I care. Love, Karen
