Obituary of Lawrence B. Daus

Lawrence B. Daus, age 71 of Darien, CT passed away peacefully on June 2, 2008. He was born in 1936 in New York City, NY. Lawrence began his career in building products at U.S. Plywood in 1960. Over the course of his career, he worked as a Manager and Director for Champion International and Georgia Pacific. Rather than retire, Mr. Daus, a devoted businessman, culminated his career in building products by launching his own successful wholesale company ten years ago. He enjoyed reading and discussing American and European history, fishing and Yankee baseball. In addition to his wife, Hilde, he is survived by his son, Robert J. Daus and his wife Lisa of Rowayton, CT; his daughter, Regina Daus-Haberle and her husband, Peter, of Lexington, MA; three grandsons; three brothers; sister in law and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT on Friday, June 6, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 pm at the Lawrence Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Richard L.
