Obituary of Charles E. Stuart
Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles E. Stuart was survived by his loving family, son Adam Charles Stuart, daughter Stephanie Antonia Stuart and granddaughter Haleigh Love Brown all of Darien, CT and COUNTLESS family & friends who loved him dearly.
Charles graduated from the Norwalk Public School system and worked at Yankee Gas/Eversource in Norwalk, The best father/grandfather anyone could ask for, Charlie was always there as a strong backbone to help any of his family or friends and made me the man I am today. He would happily drop anything just to make sure that his family was taken care of. The world was a better place knowing that Charlie was around.
An avid Motorcycle enthusiast, working on his bikes was his favorite hobby. Starting very early on in life, my dad knew the ins and outs of any chopper he was working on. On any given day you could see his big smile passing by you on a backroad somewhere in the USA. I remember some great stories of the rides he took to Myrtle Beach, Tail of the Dragon, Kancamagus Highway, Laconia, Sturgis Bike Week & many more. He was indeed a Road Warrior and will be remembered as thus.
A lover of nature and frequent outdoorsman with a NO FEAR attitude; it took him to many places that ended up being very special to him and his loved ones. As close to home as The Norwalk Islands, Ward Pound Ridge Reservation or far like the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Charlie enjoyed Gold Panning, gem hunting, hiking, camping, fishing and enjoying a steak on the grill with an ice cold beer at the end of the day.
He was our hero, our father and one of the most special people anyone could have asked for. We will all miss his jokes & how much love he had for us all.
Charlie loved collecting & attaching pins to his leather vest/jacket. As a TRUE memorial, we ask that if you would like to bring something to attach to his vest/jacket that you please do so the night of 11/29. Lets send him off like he was…a true veteran of the road!
Calling Hours will be held at Lawrence Funeral Home, Thursday 11/29 from 4-8 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery, Friday 11/30 @ 2 PM followed by a celebration of life @ The Weed Beach Tennis House.
