I am in complete shock! John was one of the best people I ever knew. RIP my friend you must be sorely missed, you were such a great guy. I will never forget the fun we had and market talks, what a loss to the world. Send me some stock picks from the other side my brother.

John made an incredible difference in my life. He organized a special bike trip to Nantucket in 1997 during which I met many new friends. His dad picked up all of our luggage at the ferry so we could ride to the hostel unencumbered. John, you will be missed terribly!

I remember my first ride in 1991, I turned up at the start not knowing what to expect, and John went out of his way to come over, introduce himself, and put me at my ease. From everything I read and hear, that was just typical John. I have not ridden for several years but we stayed in touch and would occasionally bump into each other, he dropped by my store if rides passed that way, I even found him handing out samples of cereal one day in Stew Leonards! Just an all around nice guy, very sad to hear of his sudden passing

So shocked and saddened to learn of John's passing. He was a very kind person, always smiling and always bailing me out when I needed volunteer help for charity events. I am so accustomed to seeing him - with Cathy - at every event in town. He will be greatly missed.
