Obituary of Mary J. Bestercy Miller

Mary J. Bestercy Miller, age 96, a life long resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at St. Camillus Nursing Home in Stamford. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Bestercy and the loving wife of her predeceased husband Frederick R. Miller. She is survived by three sisters, Margaret Bestercy, Dorothy Malachowski and Helen Bestercy all of Stamford and was predeceased by two sisters Elizabeth Jerabek and Anna Bestercy. She was the devoted mother of Edward J. Miller of Littleton, Colorado and Maryann Miller-Brown of Raynham, Massachusetts. She was the proud grandmother of Christopher Jon Miller, Melissa Miller-Galvan and Lauren Elizabeth Brown. She treasured her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Shealyn and Gabriella Galvan. She is also survived by a nephew Robert Malachowski of Stamford, Barbara Martin of Naples, Florida and a loving daughter-in-law Marilyn Miller. We will all miss her presence, love and fried chicken! Her devotion to her Catholic faith was an example for all those who knew and loved her. A private viewing for family will be held on Saturday, September 25th at the Lawrence Funeral Home in Darien. A Mass will be celebrated in her honor on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien.
