Obituary of Albert William Patrick Hanson

Albert William Patrick Hanson, a resident of Darien, CT, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Richard Rosenthal Hospice Residence in Stamford. Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1930, he was the son of the late Helen Hansen and Albert William Hanson. He was 78. Albert graduated with a B.A. degree from St. John's University. He worked for Pfizer, Inc. in New York. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. John R. C. Church and a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Darien Senior Men's Association and volunteered at St. Camillus Health Care Center for 15 years and the Darien Nursing Home. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Hanson; a daughter, Helena Bellucci and her husband Michael and four grandchildren, Michael, Paul, Thomas and Jane. He is also survived by two sisters, Sister Elaine Hanson, RSM and Arlene Alexander and 12 nieces and three nephews. Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Pawling Cemetery in Pawling, NY.
