Around 1971 when I first met Bela, he was always very friendly and polite, with a large smile, and warm happy disposition!! We had many encounters that decade, including sharing an evening at a Sha Na Na concert, and several visits to his parent's Norwalk home. The only person more courteous and welcoming to me was his father. His mother likewise always offered to fill me with good home cooked food, as visiting this family was such a wonderful pleasure. Bela was very good to me earlier this decade, offering short term jobs. I believe the last time I was with him was with his wife and children in their home, and I sat with them all at their dinner table. Bela was a joy to be with and know.
