Obituary of Helyne Del Favero

Helyne Del Favero was born in Kittery, Maine on July 12, 1917. She was the seventh child of Mae and Percy Nott. Unfortunately, her father, who was in the Navy, had a stroke shortly after Helynes birth, and after his death Mae moved her family to New York. After moving to New York, Mae met a man names Charles Brevogel, and soon after they were married. Helyne went to 8 elementary schools. She met her future husband Mario Del Favero while she was a senior in high school. After high school, she went to Woods Business School. Her first job was secretary to the president of Allied Decorating Company in the City. While working at Allied, she married Mario on November 20, 1938. She gave birth to her first child, a boy named Ronald on September 21, 1942. When Ronald was two years old, WWII broke out and Mario enlisted in the Army. He was wounded in Italy in 1945 and returned home. Their second child Cecilia was born on July 31, 1946. They lived in the Bronx until they moved to Larchmont, New York on July 31, 1967. Helyne worked at ACMI in Pelham and then at Post Lithographers in Mamaroneck until her retirement in 1971. Their children both got married in 1968, and blessed them with 4 grandchildren, Ronnie Christopher, Jennifer and Gregory, who unfortunately died in 2013. Helyne and Mario lived in Larchmont happily until August 26, 2002, when Mario passed away. Helyne moved to Sunrise in 2008, and lived there for ten years, until last month when she moved to Cassena. Helyne passed away peacefully on December 30, 2018. She is survived by her son Ronald, his wife Claire and her daughter Cecilia Volpe and her husband Tom. She has three grandchildren - Ronald Del Favero (Kate), Christopher Clay (Emily), and Jennifer Michalski (Greg). Her youngest grandson Gregory clay predeceased her in 2013. She have five great-grandsons - Luke (13), Even (11), Richie (9), Anthony (7) and Billy (6).
