Obituary of Elizabeth H. Patrick

Elizabeth H. Patrick, 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Arlington, MA on October 29, 1915, she was the daughter of the late William and Pauline Hills. Elizabeth went to Rollins College in Florida and the School of Fine Arts in Boston, MA. She lived in Darien for 45 years where she raised her children and was involved with D.A.R., scouting, P.T.A. and for 12 years as the First Selectman's wife. After a brief time in Florida, Elizabeth moved to Madison, CT with her husband where she enjoyed reading, gardening and sketching. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Dianne and her husband, Bruce Pentland, a grandson, William Pentland all of Guilford, CT and daughter-in-law, Pamela Patrick of Norwalk. She was predeceased by her husband, William H. Patrick and a son, Russell H. Patrick. A memorial service will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Alzheimer's Association, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
