Obituary of Raymond F. Potts

Raymond F. Potts, a resident of Norwalk and a former long-time resident of Darien, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 in Norwalk. Born on December 13, 1932 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Anna and Thomas Potts. Raymond was a graduate of Stamford High School. He served with the U. S. Navy and worked at the Darien Post Office for over 40 years. He was a volunteer with the Darien Fire Department and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cecelia Tiano Potts of Norwalk and his daughter, Alison Potts Groenstein and her husband, Mark, of Fairfield. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Ryan and Libby, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Ann Potts Pleasic, Dorothy Potts Jovin, Irene Potts and Thomas Potts. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Matthews R.C. Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.
