Obituary of Vera Zajkowski

Vera Zajkowski died of natural causes on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Stamford Hospital. Born January 10, 1924, she was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Stamford. She was 87 years old. Vera is predeceased by her husband, Paul S. Zajkowski, Jr. and a son, Matthew James Zajkowski. She is survived by her children, Paul S. Zajkowski, III of Darien; Nancy Z. Bigham and Carol Zajkowski both of Stamford; and seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Alfred Candito and Albert Candito both of Stamford and Rudolf Candito of California; and her sisters, Jeanne Cuiffo and Martha Cuiffo also of Stamford. Calling hours will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
