We write with both deep sadness and yet with such fond memories of Bette in her many visits to Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti over the past 18 or so years. We will remember her always, dearly and with great affection. She was an active, lively, delightful, engaging, optimistic, warm, good-postured, intelligent and no-nonsense woman; a mother, mother-in-law and grandmother clearly devoted and loving to Ted, Wendy and TK, our dear friends. We always looked forward to her visits, the dinners and good conversation. She will be greatly missed. We offer our most sincere condolences to the family, and wish you peace and solace.
