Obituary of Ann Zangrillo Sherwood

Ann Zangrillo Sherwood, a life long resident of the Darien/New Canaan area, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in 1929 in Darien, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Mae (Carmella) Zangrillo. She was 78. Ann was a parishioner of St. John R. C. Church in Darien, a member of the Country Club of Darien and an active volunteer of the Darien Lions Club. She is survived by her children, Keith S. Barker, Karen A. Byrne and Kim D. Barker all of Darien and three grandchildren, Kristoffer Barker, Keri Byrne and Kyle Byrne also all of Darien. She is also survived by her three brothers, Peter Zangrillo of New Canaan; Stephen Zangrillo of Darien; Robert Zangrillo of Norwalk and her sister, Ceil Danna of Darien. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank W. Sherwood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien. Memorial donations may be sent to the Darien Lions Club, P. O. Box 144, Darien, CT 06820 or Post 53 Ambulance Service, P. O.
