Obituary of Elizabeth L. Haney

Elizabeth L. Haney, a longtime resident of NYC, passed away on March 29, 2014 at NY Presbyterian Hospital. She was born in New Haven, CT to the late Charles Vincent Lavery and Elizabeth Agnes (Glassel) Lavery on June 28, 1930. She was 83. Elizabeth graduated with a bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. She worked in retail at B. Altman and Bergdorf Goodman in NYC for many years. She was also a Museum Docent at Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in NYC. Elizabeth was also a very active member at St. Thomas More Church in NYC. She is survived by her son Frank Reed Haney of FL, two grandsons Colin and Paul Haney, and one brother Charlie Lavery of FL. She was predeceased by her sister Patricia Beatty who was a resident of Darien. A Funeral Service will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Rd., Darien, CT 06820 on Wednesday April 2, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
