Josephine C. Walsh, a 15 year resident of the Darien/Stamford area and a former long time resident of New York City, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the age of 101 at St. Camillus Rehabilitation in Stamford. Born in 1906, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Delia (Murphy) Colly.
Josephine graduated from Columbia Teachers College. She was a retired high school principle in New York City.
She is survived by her step-son, Dr. Thomas J. Walsh of Norwalk and four grand children and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Walsh.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at St. John R. C. Church in Darien. Burial took place at Gate of Heave in Hawthorne, NY.
