Obituary of Ann K. Meyer

Ann K. Meyer, 98, a Stamford resident, died at the Tandet Center of cardio pulmonary arrest, November 14, 2007. Born November 9, 1909 in Fair Oaks, PA, she was one of 11 children born to the late Edward and Amelia Weisenburg Kosack. Mrs. Meyer is survived by her daughters, Martha Kugler (Frank) of Darien; Judith Carroll (Guy) and Felice M. Lang both of Stamford. She was predeceased by her son, Frederic (1955); her daughter, Susan Beluk (2006) and her former husband, Paul. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Anderson of Florida and New Hampshire and her brother, Ernest Kosack of Sewickley, PA.
Mrs. Meyer is also survived by nine grandchildren, Porter Kugler, Molly Kugler Dickinson, Linda Beluk Kirby, Katherine Beluk Clark, Michael Beluk, Jr., Robert Beluk, Meredith Beluk Clark, Megan Carroll Bernard, Tracy Carroll Iacono and 23 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Meyer worked for Best & Co., and W.J. Sloane & Co. when retiring at age 72. In addition to raising her five children and working, she was an active volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital, a bridge player and a gardener. Mrs. Meyer was a woman of fortitude, dedicated mother and accomplished homemaker. When the need arose she became a super salesperson and after retirement translated that enthusiasm to volunteering. She loved talking with those she met and was always interested in their activities. There was music in her heart and kindness in her smile.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien on November 29, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Private interment at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
