Willie Nieves, 53, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Willie was born in Stamford, CT on October 9, 1963, to the late Emma Lagares and Severiano Nieves. He worked as a landscaper for almost 25 years, loved fishing and was an avid NY sports fan. Willie is survived by his children Nickia Joannides, Willie Nieves, Alyssa Nieves and Cheyanne Nieves and four grandchildren. His siblings Camelia Massanet, Sonia Gaztambide, Benjamin Nieves and Angel Nieves also survive. Besides his parents, Willie is also predeceased by his siblings Jose Nieves and Emma Iris Nieves.
Calling hours will be Sunday, November 6th from 12-4 pm at Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Boston Post Road, Darien, CT.
