As his former son-in-law, I was proud and privileged to know Chuck Waggner well for over 35 years, dating back to 1972. Chuck was the most generous man I have ever known and we shared some good times, long marathons and fantastic adventures. While his successes are well documented in the form of father, engineer, businessman and runner, the true Chuck Waggner was a sensitive, caring and compassionate individual whose legacy will live long into this century.

Our hearts and prayers are with the Waggner Family and Friends, It was a great honor and privilege to have Chuck on the Board of Visitors of the A. James Clark School of Engineering. He was a trusted and valued alum and friend. As the Dean he was the first person to convey to me that he wanted to help make his alma mater and his department the best it could be. He gave of his time most generously to the college. He will be forever remembered for his kindness and his great interest in helping humanity. We are deeply indebted to him for having done so much for us. His passing brings us great sadness, but we will continue to honor his name in the college by carrying out his vision to make the world a better place for the less fortunate individuals on this planet. Chuck will always hold a special place in our hearts. Darryll J. Pines Professor and Dean of the A. James Clark School of Engineering

On so many occasions he provided strategic counsel, especially to our Clark School of Engineering, and he was generous with his time and resources. He was a highly principled man who led by example. His positive thinking a kind spirit were always uplifting. We were so privileged to know him.

So sorry we could not make the service. Chuck was a very speacial man who was so highly respected and honored in every walk of his life. We hate that he suffered as much as he did, happy it is over and that he is at rest.
