Obituary of Joseph J. Kairis

Joseph J. Kairis, a resident of New Canaan, died on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in 1918 in Stamford, he was the son of the late John and Annie Kairis. He was 89. Joseph retired from Perkin-Elmer were he worked as a tool maker. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He was an avid gardener and was a member of the South Norwalk Boat Club. Joe was predeceased by his wife Alice Seaberg Kairis in 1989. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Cemetery in New Canaan with Father Russell Augustine from St. Patrick Church in Redding Ridge, CT, officiating. The Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien handled the arrangements.
