Helen M. McGuinness, a long-time resident of Stamford, died peacefully on Oct 22nd in Winter Park, FL.
Born in 1920 in Stamford, she was one of ten siblings of the late Michael and Mary Tirpak. She was 93 and predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Ford T. McGuinness, a former owner of the Stamford Colony Grill. Mrs. McGuinness is survived by her two daughters, Bunny Kerrigan and her husband Robert of Haymarket, VA; Peggy Albu and her husband George of Winter Park, FL; five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Ella Olsen and Joan Dineen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church at 914 Newfield Ave. Stamford on Friday, Nov 8th at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien. www.lawrencefuneralhome.com
