Obituary of Jane R. Forte

Jane R. Forte, a resident of Port Charlotte, FL and a former longtime resident of Darien, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte, FL. Born October 26, 1919 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Grover C. and Lillian Woodke Raymond. She was 93.
Jane was a former registered nurse who worked at Stamford Hospital. She was a member of Wee Burn County Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Forte Evon of Arcadia, FL; three grandchildren, Jack Robert Payne, Mellissa Payne Hughes and Glen Evon; three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack A. Forte; a daughter, Jacqueline Forte Kidder and a son, Glen Forte.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 2:15 PM.
