Obituary of Rose S. Papp

Rose S. Papp, known as Dolly, a life-long resident of Darien, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Stamford Hospital. Born on August 15, 1921 in Darien, she was the daughter of the late James and Rose (Conti) Bruno.
Dolly was a parishioner of St. Thomas More R.C. Church in Darien. She was a generous, loving, sweet and beautiful woman. The greatest mom and grandma we could ever have.
She is survived by her four children, Joseph J. Papp, Jr.; Richard Papp and his wife Bonnie; Robert Papp; and Marianne Reynolds and her husband Jerry. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Mary Rivera, Joseph J. Papp III, Kimberly Savvaides, Tara Miller, Andrea Connolly and Leigh Reynolds; and 10 great grandchildren, TJ, Jake, Cameron, Kevin, Carly, Claire, Graham, Adam, Leah and Landon. Also surviving are two sisters, Tessy Sniffen and Mary Fraccola.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Joseph J. Papp Sr. who passed away in March of 1985. She was also predeceased by six siblings, Augustus Bruno, Benjamin Bruno, Joseph Bruno, Lizzy Journalist, Josephine Lombardo and Chiva Penna.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
