Obituary of Stanley T. Kosinski

Stanley T. Kosinski of Stratford, CT died September 1, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital after a brief illness. He was 85. Prior to living in Stratford, Stan and his family lived in Darien, CT for over 30 years and Westport, CT for 10 years. Son of the late Joseph Kosinski and Mary Bogacki, he was born April 19, 1928 and was raised in Stamford, CT. Stan attended Holy Name of Jesus Church and School and graduated from Stamford High School. He also attended engineering classes at Bridgeport University. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952 with the rank of Sargent. Stan married his wife Martha Moody on August 10, 1957. They raised 3 children in Darien and Westport, CT. The early years of his career were spent at Crawford and Russell. The last 20 years of his career were spent as the President of Recon Associates. Recon provided engineering consulting services to the insurance property loss industry. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, cultivating his fruit trees, wine making, dining out, their pet Labrador Retrievers and traveling the country including their condo in Fort Pierce, FL that they owned for many years. He is survived by his wife Martha of Stratford, children Patricia Kosinski of Brookhaven, PA, Kenneth Kosinski and his wife Karen of Westport, Robert Kosinski and his wife Janice of New Canaan; five grandchildren Nicole, Christopher, Danielle, Greer, Chase; his sister Jane Karwoski of Stamford and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 4 Pulaski Street, Stamford on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
