MacDonald "Mac" Osland, a longtime resident of Darien, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Stamford Hospital. Wright Technical School in 1950. Mac enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 17 and served as a Carpenter's Mate in the Seabees during WW II, where he saw extensive action at Okinawa in the Pacific supporting American operations against the Japanese.
