Obituary of Deborah Almy Chudy

Deborah Almy Chudy, a longtime resident of Darien, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Stamford Hospital. Born on February 13, 1936 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Lyonel King and Edna Goulden Almy. She was 80 years of age. Deborah was a graduate of Darien High School and Skidmore College. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Stamford Hospital for over 20 years as the Night Nursing Supervisor. She was a member of Noroton Presbyterian Church and an avid reader. She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Chudy Simon and her husband Richard of Long Valley, NJ and Emily Chudy Shute and her husband Frank of Darien and four grandchildren, Matthew, Kayleigh, Caleb and Abigail. She is also survived by a sister, Barbara Almy Bird of Limerick, PA. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew in 2002. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Noroton Presbyterian Chapel, 2011 Post Road, Darien. Interment will be private.
