To Cheryl's family, I am saddened to hear of her passing. Both my husband, Stu and I worked with her at Hallmark and she was certainly a bright light. She was very soulful and fun at the same time. We are truly sorry for your loss. Ginny and Stu Fraser

Dear Steve, Neil, and Claire: I am heartbroken to learn today that our beautiful Cheryl passed away earlier this week. Worrying more about me than herself, she last called me on Feb. 25th-- and, I now know, to say "good-bye". My friendship with Cheryl has spanned many years, (since 1978), and across many miles and interests. I've collected many memories of fun times spent together, as well as special conversations that will always be dear to my heart. Cheryl shined as a wonderful colleague, dedicated friend, and true artist-- a real creative. But, I know that the real sparkle in her life was the day she married you Steve and became mother to Neil and Claire-- creating your wonderful family together. How she loved you all! It's how I know her spirit will always be with you. I will miss my dear friend-- our talks, her advice, her generous smile, happy spirit & optimism, her sense of humor, her laugh, her elegant dignity, and twinkling blue eyes. But I know, going forward, when I artfully create something really special-- well, it will be because Cheryl's spirit is helping to guide and encourage me along. You are one of my heroes-- I love you Cheryl and will miss you. Until we meet again... My deepest sympathies and love, Paula

How very sad I was to hear about the passing of Cheryl. She was my husband's cousin and touched our lives during our too-infrequent encounters with her generous spirits and warmth. I remember at one particular point in my life own life, when I was feeling down and lonely, Cheryl invited me to her home. She served me a fantastic dinner and cheered me up as she, her family and I watched one of the final rounds of "American Idol". She encouraged me to keep my head up, pursue my endeavors and let me know she was always just a phone call away. Thank you, Cheryl, for being such a wonderful cousin and friend to my husband, and to being so kind to me. We will deeply miss you.

I tried to read this at the service for my brother (also a sweet, loving, artistic soul)a few months ago but could not get through it. Writing is easier. May it offer some comfort in this time of grief: Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die.

I know I am sharing the feelings of many of our friends in the Dover area, that our hearts are broken, and we have lost a true gem. I had the priviledge of working with Cheryl in 1974 as Class President and she as Vice President. We formed a friendship then and it lasted through all of these years. Her smile would light up any room and conversation. My condolences to her family, and our prayers as well. Cheryl was one in a million, and I know we will see her again one day.

Ciecie: a dear niece, so close in age we grew up together, often wearing matching dresses as children. We shared a love of antiques and decorating. Cheryl was so stylish, often emulated, never matched. A true artist who will truly be missed. We share profoundly the grief of Steve, Neil, and Claire.

Dearest Cheryl, Although our paths have not crossed as much as I would have liked in the past few years, we have always and will always share the special bond of family. Our lives have been on parallel paths from the very beginning and its very painful to acknowledge your passing from this part of life, but I know Ill see you again in the next one. I can be happy that the special times weve shared together will always remain with me and keep you close to me. I still often remember the trip we took to Hawaii all those years ago and how we had to keep explaining to everyone we were cousins! You will always have a special place in my heart and be a part of my life forever. Im missing you very much right now, but will remain strong knowing that your smiling face is watching over me. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to your wonderful family Steve, Neil and Claire. May you all get through this painful time by remembering the best of Cheryls life which you were all very much a part of.
