Obituary of Phyllis Torrey Bosee

Phyllis Torrey Bosee, a resident of Old Greenwich, CT since 1955, passed away on December 5, 2015 at Greenwich Hospital. Born in Swampscott, MA on April 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Martin Torrey and Jessie Clarke Torrey. She was 95. Phyllis graduated from Scarsdale High School and Bennington College. She worked for American Airlines and Look Magazine. Along with raising her family, Phyllis was an accomplished artist, exhibiting her paintings in local shows and making themed decorations for schools and clubs. She loved jazz music and travel, especially her trips to France and Italy. She was also an active member of the AAUW (The American Association of University Women) and the Rocky Point Club. Phyllis is survived by two sons and a daughter, John and his wife, Juanita, of Darien, CT; Thompson of Old Greenwich; and Barbara Seelaus and her husband, Karl, of Ridgefield, CT. She is also survived by her two beloved grandchildren, Alexandra "Lexi" of Norwalk and John "Jake" of New York City. Funeral services will be private.
