I am so sorry to hear the news of Rich's passing. I worked with Rich at Morgan back in the early / mid 80s and I regret to say that I didn't do a great job staying in touch with him over the last ~20 years. Rich was such a fun-loving, easy going guy. He was always warm and upbeat. I don't know why but every time I hear 1980s David Bowie music I think of Rich. And the visual memory that I have of him in my mind, he always has that big, broad smile.. As I recall, Rich was also very focused back then. He worked hard and he had a pretty clear idea of what he wanted to do with his career. I can now see that he definitely followed through on his career objectives and he had a wonderful family life as well. Wish I could attend to pay my respects. My sympathy and condolences to the family. RIP Rich.

To Rich's Family - I worked with Rich for many years at the Washington Research Group (starting at Schwab) and I am so sad to hear of his passing. He was always a wonderful colleague, full of great advice for me as a new parent, words of encouragement when things at work were frustrating, optimistic against all odds, and tireless! His devotion and concern for his family was clearly first and foremost, even in tough business times. My deepest sympathies to you in this sad time. Anne

Rich was such a gentle, positive, funny and caring person. All the years on Wall Street didn't change that. Karen and children, as you deal with your great loss, know that in Rich's time away from you, he touched many lives in a very positve way.

Karen and children, we are sorry for you loss. Rich was a great guy and we will always remember him with that twinkle and light laugh, doing his lawn, trick or treating with the kids, or being on the sidelines of the lacrosse field.
