Obituary of Regina Agnes DeAngelis

Regina Agnes DeAngelis, 98, of Stamford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 30, 2012. Born on August 8, 1914 in Darien, CT, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Raffaela (Lombardi) Russo. She was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her only thoughts were of family and being together. Her warm and loving care, thoughtful advice, selfless nature and grand sense of humor never went unappreciated. Regina is survived by her loving sons, Raymond DeAngelis of Norwalk; Ronald DeAngelis and his wife Cindy of Stamford; her loving daughter, Regina Custer and her husband John of Norwalk; six loving grandchildren, Raymond DeAngelis, Jr. and his wife Tammy; Michael DeAngelis; Lynnae Marushak and her husband Mike; R.J. DeAngelis; Justin Custer and Jennifer Custer; and three great grandchildren, Ashley, Michael and Alyssa. She is also survived by her brother Angelo Russo and his wife Mary of Darien. Besides her parents, Regina was predeceased by her loving husband Michael "Fred" DeAngelis; her two brothers, Andrew and John Russo; and two sisters, Mary Perisio and Helen Bivona. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 8:30 to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
