Obituary of Jane C. Murphy

Jane C. Murphy, a life long resident of Stamford, CT, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, July 28, 2006 in Stamford. Born November 21, 1922 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaus and Theodora (Malanowska) Lenczycki. She was 83. Mrs. Murphy spent most of her life as a homemaker and loving mother. Later she worked for Grant’s Department Store and then Woolworth’s. She was a parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus in Stamford. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James J. Murphy. She is survived by three sons, James T. Murphy of Stamford; John Murphy of Newtown, CT and David Murphy of Norwalk; and three daughters, Marianne Delima of Bronx, NY; Linda Murphy of New Haven, CT and Elizabeth Petrin of Stillwater, OK; 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is also survived by one brother, Henry Lenczycki of Norwalk and one sister, Estelle Patricia Novak of Stamford. She will be dearly missed by all. Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Monday, July 31, 2006 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Name of Jesus, 4 Pulaski Street, Stamford on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Stamford.
