Obituary of Leo Hoffmann

Leo Hoffmann, a resident of Darien for 45 years, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2006 at Smith House in Stamford. Born July 16, 1928 in Germany, he was the son of the late August and Elisabeth Bolander Hoffmann. He was 78.
Leo served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was vice president of Hobbs Equipment, Inc. in Norwalk where he worked for 30 years retiring in 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Henriette Hoffmann of Darien; one daughter, Eileen Manhart of Darien and one son, Wayne Hoffmann of Monroe, CT; and four grandchildren, Laura and Kelly Manhart both of Darien and Jessica and Tyler Hoffmann both of Monroe, CT.
Funeral Services and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 265 Seaside Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902.
