Obituary of Rosemarie Clifford Bouley

Rosemarie Clifford Bouley died of cancer on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at her home in Stamford, CT. Mrs. Bouley was predeceased by her husband, Colonel Richard Bouley (Ret.), U.S. Army Air Force. Mrs. Bouley received undergraduate and graduate degrees in History at New York University. Her husband was stationed in Germany for five years, and she taught soldiers who were studying for their GED at an Air Force base. When Col. Bouley was assigned to an air base in San Antonio, TX, she taught high school Social Studies. After moving to Stamford, CT in the late 60's, Mrs. Bouley joined the faculty at Greenwich High School. She taught there for 30 years and was one of the original members of the Humanities group which developed the course "Shapers of the World". Mrs. Bouley leaves many close colleagues, friends and former students, who mourn the passing of a woman of fine intelligence and a vast knowledge of history. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church of Noroton, 1986 Post Road, Noroton on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
