Obituary of Richard D. O'Neill

Richard D. O'Neill, a resident of Darien, CT, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in Darien. Born on October 28, 1923 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Re O'Neill and Mary Treffry O'Neill. He was 88.
Robert graduated from Stamford High School. He worked for Stamford Tool and Die. He enjoyed working outdoors and visiting friends at the diner.
He is survived by three children, Robert O'Neill of Bridgeport, CT; Alan O'Neill of Milford, CT and Diane O'Neill of Anchorage, AK; and two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived two sisters, Mary Beth Robert of Sarasota, FL and Judy Foster of Englewood, FL; and two brothers, Ed O'Neill of Englewood, FL and Barry Foster of Falmouth MA. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann O'Neill.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Interment will be private.
