Obituary of Lucy Manforte Poulin

Lucy Manforte Poulin passed away April 21 in Newbury Park, CA. She was born in Stamford, CT December 2, 1916, the third of seven children born to Gerarda and Salvatore Manforte. She was raised in Noroton Heights, CT. Lucy married Emile Poulin in 1935 and they spent most of their married life in Stamford CT. She moved to California about ten years ago to be near her daughter. Lucy was the widow of Emile Poulin who passed away in 2000. She is survived by her son Robert and his wife Judith of Eastham MA, and her daughter Patricia Driscoll, widow of Brian Driscoll, of Westlake Village, CA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Robert S. Poulin and his wife Jessica, Marilou Rowan and her husband David, Suzanne Rowan and her husband Mark, Laura Poulin and her partner David Cianci, Peter Poulin and his wife Jeanne, Kevin Driscoll and his wife Sara, Jennifer Somers and her husband John, and Christian Driscoll and his wife April. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren. Lucy also leaves her sister, Rose Surwilo of Noroton Heights, CT. Lucy was a graduate of Darien High School where she excelled in basketball and was nicknamed "Motorcycle Manforte." She was also a championship bowler and expert seamstress and knitter.
