Obituary of Edward W. Mazurek

Edward W. Mazurek, a resident of Darien, CT, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Smith House in Stamford. Born on September 2, 1921 in Argo, IL, he was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Franczyk) Mazurek. He was 93. Edward graduated from Washburne Trade School in 1941. He worked as a machinist for Procunier Safety Chuck Company. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Sixty Plus Club and the Darien Senior Center. He loved reading, history and classical music. Edward is survived by his son, Jerry Mazurek and his wife, Joan, of Franklin Park, IL; a daughter, Marilyn Mazurek Safran and her husband, Ron, of Darien and six grandchildren, Cara Mazurek Coffey, Kate Mazurek, Timothy Mazurek, Jason Safran, Jill Safran Kaplan and Jesse Safran.
