Obituary of Allan A. Cooper

Allan A. Cooper, a resident of Fairfield, CT and a former longtime resident of Norwalk and West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. Born on April 8, 1922 in Latrobe, PA, he was the son of the late Aaron and Ada Cooper. He was 92. Allan served in Germany with the U.S. Army during World War II as a medic. He managed several paint stores, ran his own interior decorating business and worked in the paint department at Home Depot in Florida. He is survived by a daughter, Donna Segers and son-in-law Ken of Norwalk; a son, Jay Cooper also of Norwalk; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Frank Cooper and sister-in-law Linda Cooper. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Cooper and a daughter, Arline Massey in 2000. A service will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM.
