Obituary of Kathleen Joy McKenzie

Kathleen Joy McKenzie, a resident of Redding since 2001, died on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Meadow Ridge Health Center. Born in 1926 in Trinidad, West Indies she was the daughter of the late Joseph Leon Agostini and Ethel Olive Agostini. She was 85. Joy was a long time resident of Darien and an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She also lived in Caracas, Venezuela; London, England; and Paris, France before moving to the United States in 1969. She is survived by her three children, Richard G. McKenzie of Amherst, NH; Geoffrey I. McKenzie of Stamford, CT; and Jennifer McKenzie Farmakis of Wilton, CT and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers Peter and Ian Agostini of Canada. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald Bertram McKenzie in 2009. A private memorial service is to be scheduled after the New Year. The Edward Lawrence Funeral Home of Darien is handling the arrangements.
