Sandra and Patricia: It is very difficult to write a Eulogy on a person, man and uncle who achieved and accomplished so many goals in his life time.
One of the many memories I have of Uncle Dante was when I attended Stamford High School. Attending Gym classes I introduced myself to our Gym Teacher, Mr. Carmine Toshes. Mr. Toshes paused, looked at me and said in very few words, “Chicatell, are you related to Dante Chicatell?” I replied, “Yes.” He paused again and said,” Are you are capable of contributing to your Uncle’s record book in all four sports, I really think it is possible. But, your Uncle was a natural just as Jim Thorp. You have four years of hard, dedicated work in order to have your picture next to your Uncle Dante’s in Stamford High’s Gym.” So for four years I had Mr. Toshes reminding me, you’re close to his record but not good enough.
Memories of my Uncle made me drive for excellence and never look back at my mistakes. Just correct them, be positive, out-going, love people for who they are and follow your dream.
My Uncle Joe ”Chic” had a team picture of Uncle Dante hanging on a medicine cabinet in the repair area as a tight end with a huge smile. Every time I looked at the picture, it made me smile and wish and hope that some-day I will fill his shoes and position.
Uncle Dante, you are a legend, a hero, and a person of interest. I will never forget the loving memories you have contributed to life, family and friends.
Love You, Your Nephew Gary

Sandra, Joe & Family My sincere condolences on the passing of Dante. I’ve had the pleasure of cutting his hair for 30 years. What an incredible man he was! There is so much to say about him. I always enjoyed how gentle and kind a man Dante was. He is a true inspiration to all who knew him. He’s together with mom now and Heaven has gained a true Angel. May he Rest In Peace and his memory be eternal.

What a wonderful man Chic was....A TRUE MASTER...My father thought so much of him and I did too....One think I will always remember about him was when he and Rocky walked down the side aisle after receiving communion as he walked past me he would always wind up and punch my arm in true love...And even as he aged he packed a wallop...hehehe... What a good caring loving man. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family and yes Rocky too...Very rarely saw one with out the other in later years. True friends.
