Obituary of Thomas M. Tortora

Thomas M. Tortora a resident of Manchester CT for the past 18 years passed away on Saturday April 14, 2018. Tom was born on May 10, 1973 in Stamford to Dr. Francis Xavier Tortora and Susan Ready. He was 44. Tom was a successful business owner of Tortora Maintenance LLC for 11 years. He was also a former member and Board Member of the Portland Yacht Club and had a longtime interest in billiards. Tom is survived by his father Dr. Francis Tortora of Wilton CT and mother Susan Ready of Harrison, NY. He is also survived by his five siblings, Joseph F. Tortora of Naperville, IL, Christina M. Tortora of Wilmington, NC, Donald P. Tortora of Altamonte Springs, FL, Francis X. Tortora II of Seymour, CT and DebraSue A. Tortora of Shorewood, WI as well as many nieces and nephews. Tom was pre-deceased by his wife Melanie Tortora and daughter Selena Tortora. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 19, 2018 at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT 06820 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St Johns RC Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien, CT at 11:00 AM. Private family burial will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
