Obituary of Mary DiRollo
Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary DiRollo, a resident of Norwalk, CT, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Norwalk Hospital. Born on January 31, 1931 in Port Chester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Alonzo of Port Chester, NY.
Mary graduated in 1948 from Port Chester High School in Port Chester, NY. She worked as an executive and legal secretary for many years and then was co-owner of two food establishments with her husband, Joseph DiRollo.
Mary was a devoted wife and mother whose family meant everything to her. She loved life and was happiest when surrounded by family and her many friends. She was a compassionate soul who was always at-the-ready with a helping hand for anyone in need. She loved people - and oh how she loved music and dancing…especially doing The Hustle to Barry Whites "Youre My First, My Last, My Everything". Her absence will leave a permanent void in the hearts and souls of her loving family - Joseph, Cheryl, Mark & Dana. Mom, you were the best mother we could have ever hoped for - always loving and always there for us, no matter the day or time - giving your all and then some without a moments hesitation. We will love and miss you always and hold you in our hearts forever.
Mary is survived by her husband, Joseph DiRollo of Norwalk, CT; three children, Cheryl DiRollo and her partner Teresa of Woodbury, CT; Mark DiRollo and Dana DiRollo both of Norwalk, CT. She was predeceased by a sister Rosalyn DiRollo of Plantation, FL.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Dementia Society of America, 114 N. Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
