Mr. LeHan - my husband and I both had you in 11th grade. You were a wonderful teacher. You brought Shakespeare to life for us. RIP

Rest in Peace, Mr. LeHan. I absolutely loved having you as my English teacher at Hauppauge HS in 11th and 12th grades (1971-73). You did bring Shakespeare (and yes, Hemingway, Fitzgerald, etc.) to life for all of us, instilling in me a love for great literature, for which I am eternally grateful to you. You were a great teacher and a wonderfully kind man. My deepest sympathy to your family and loved ones.

May you rest in peace with the lord Mr. LeHan . You were a great teacher, you got us all interested in some of the greats like Shakespeare and others. I remember it like yesterday when you would sit down on top of your desk or an empty student desk and ASKED us what WE thought . Thanks for sharing your passion of English with US <3

Rest In Peace Mr LeHan. All these years later, when I hear certain quotes from Hamlet and MacBeth, I am automatically transported back to 11th grade English and sitting in your class, listening to you as you watched us discovering, many for the first time, what great English lit was all about. Your love for the greats of literature came shining through in the enthusiastic style of taking 11th graders and introducing them to the classic Shakesperian phrases and quotes that will bring their minds back to your classroom nearly 40 years later! Surely the sign of a great teacher! I know that I speak for many of your students when I say Thank You Mr LeHan! RIP
